1. Cookies and browser storage

2. Functions that use browser storage

Basket — local storage

We use local storage to remember the products and quantities you add to your basket, including between visits.

This supports your selected shopping activity. We do not use the saved basket for behavioural advertising.

Wishlist — local storage

We use local storage to remember products you choose to save to your wishlist.

This supports the saving function you select. We do not use the saved wishlist for behavioural advertising.

Language preference — NEXT_LOCALE cookie, where set

Where the NEXT_LOCALE cookie is set, it remembers your selected language so that the website can display the corresponding language version.

3. Storage duration

Local storage does not have a built-in expiry time. Basket and wishlist information can remain between visits until it is removed or replaced by the website, cleared through your browser settings or deleted by the browser.

A cookie’s lifetime depends on whether it is configured as a session cookie or with an expiry date. Session cookies normally expire when the browser session ends; persistent cookies remain until their expiry or earlier deletion.

You can inspect the cookies stored for our website, including any expiry information for NEXT_LOCALE, through your browser’s cookie or site-data settings. You can also delete local storage through those settings.

4. Necessary functions and consent

Storage or access that is strictly necessary to provide a function you expressly request may be used without prior cookie consent where permitted by applicable law.

The exemption depends on the actual purpose and use of the technology. A technology is not automatically exempt merely because it is described as functional or uses local storage.

Where a technology requires consent, we will request that consent before storing or accessing the relevant information. Refusing consent must be as easy as giving it, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.

If we introduce optional analytics, advertising or other consent-based technologies, we will explain their purposes, providers and duration and provide appropriate controls before activating them.

5. Analytics, advertising and email tracking

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies or behavioural advertising trackers on our website.

Our marketing emails do not use open or click tracking.

Necessary technical processing, such as handling requests or maintaining security logs, is separate from advertising tracking. Information about personal-data processing is provided in our Privacy Policy.

6. Payment services

Payments are processed through Stripe. When you access Stripe’s hosted payment page, Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies for payment functionality, authentication and security.

Stripe’s use of these technologies depends on the payment service and configuration. Information is available in Stripe’s cookie information and Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

If payment technologies store or access information on our website, they remain subject to applicable transparency and consent requirements. A security or fraud-prevention purpose does not automatically exempt every technology from consent.

7. Your choices

You can use your browser settings to inspect, delete or restrict cookies and other site data, including local storage.

Deleting this information may clear your saved basket, wishlist or language preference. Blocking storage may prevent the corresponding functions from working properly.

Your choices generally apply to the browser and device on which you make them. You may need to manage settings separately on other browsers or devices.

8. Further information and changes

Our Privacy Policy explains the purposes and legal bases of personal-data processing, recipients, international transfers, retention and your rights.

We will update this policy when our use of cookies or browser storage changes. Where a change requires consent, publishing an updated policy does not replace obtaining that consent before the relevant technology is used.
